Introducing the New AKC Pet Healthcare Plan!

The old adage ‘accidents happen’ isn’t just for humans.  Accidents happen to pets all the time.  Dogs are very curious creatures and they are always at risk for missteps and mishaps, no matter how closely we watch them.

When an accident happens, pet healthcare insurance can significantly reduce your out-of-pocket costs of veterinary care -- saving you money in the long run.  An accident plan provides basic protection for your dog covering bee stings, snake bites, poisoning, burns and car accidents, to name a few.

At PetPartners, Inc., the exclusive pet healthcare provider for the AKC Pet Healthcare Plan,* we see many claims for all kinds of accidents and injuries.  Some recent claims include:

  • $1,895 for a Labrador Retriever bitten by a rattlesnake
  • $1,014 for a Doberman Pinscher that ate a doll head
  • $1,915 for a Bernese Mountain Dog that swallowed a corn cob
  • $2,000 for a Poodle’s fractured leg
  • $1,500 for a Labrador Retriever that swallowed fertilizer
  • $1,416 for a Welsh Terrier hit by a car
  • $1,281 for a Poodle that ingested walnut mold

In these cases and others like them, it only takes a split second for the unexpected -- or the unimaginable -- to happen.  Are you prepared?

With our new Accident Plus Plan, you can plan ahead for your dog’s emergencies.  Any breed may be enrolled as long as it is at least eight weeks old.  There is no upper age limit to enroll your dog or to continue coverage, which includes:
